Asthma is basically wheezing in the chest. A patient with asthma feels discomfort in breathing during sleep, while lying down, or while doing physical exercises. He/She also feels short of breath and incapable of doing regular work. It can be mild, moderate or severe.
Asthma mostly affects children aged 2 to 5 years and middle-aged people. It can be caused by allergen exposure, cold weather, poor air quality, any foreign body in the airways or lung infections.
Asthma can be diagnosed based on your symptoms, physical exam and spirometry.
Asthma can be controlled by nebulization, medication, and yoga. If you feel such symptoms, visit I and My Doctors Clinic for care and treatment.
Asthma hospital and ER admissions increased after September each year after a lapse in children's inhaler use. Contact I AND MY DOCTORS CLINIC so we can help prevent this from happening to your child at 281-303-5678.
